API Tokens

API tokens let you access the Customer API from scripts and integrations.

Creating a token

  1. Sign in to the Portal.
  2. Go to API Tokens.
  3. Click Create Token.
  4. Choose abilities: read or read-write.
  5. Copy the plaintext token immediately; it is shown only once.

Security

Store tokens in a secret manager or environment variable. Rotate tokens periodically. If a token is leaked, revoke it from the Portal immediately.
